The Pedi-Plurimeter helps to measure the degree of scoliosis on a posteroanterior radiograph projection of the vertebral column.
Measurement:
The Cobbs angle is used for evaluation of curves in scoliosis on a radiographic projection of the spine. Identify first the most tilted vertebra both above and below the apex of the curve. Draw a line along the superior end plate of the superior end vertebra. Draw another line along the inferior end plate of the inferior end vertebra. Measure the angle between these two lines (or lines drawn perpendicular to them) with the Pedi-Plurimeter. The difference between the angles A and B measured with the Pedi-Plurimeter is the Cobbs angle.
